DTH Platform of Doordarshan, DD Free Dish is being upgraded.

DTH Platform of Doordarshan, DD Free Dish is being upgraded on 10.01.2015 at 00.05 am (Friday midnight) from 59 channels to 64 channels of MPEG-2 DVB-S. To receive all the 64 channels, all the viewers are requested to Edit Transponder parameter by changing only the Symbol Rate from 27500 Ksps to 28500 Ksps in each TP and retune/ rescan their STB to get all TV and Radio Channels. Procedure to Edit Transponder Parameter of existing Viewers:- 1. Press “Menu” Button on Remote of DD DTH Set Top Box.

2. Select “Installation”. 3. Go to “Manual Search”. 4. Select the same satellite.
5. Do not change the satellite and TP Frequency.
6. For TP-1 and Frequency 10990 MHz, Edit/change Symbol Rate from 27500 Ksps to 28500 Ksps only. 7. Don’t change any other parameter.
8. SAVE the setting and SCAN the Set Top Box.
9. Press “Exit” Button on Remote.
10. Similarly Edit, Save and Scan the following TP to get all the TV and Tadio Channels. TP Frequency Old Symbol Rate New Symbol Rate Polarisation TP-1 10990 MHz 27500 Ksps
28500 Ksps Vertical TP-2 11070 MHz 27500 Ksps
28500 Ksps Vertical TP-3 11150 MHz 27500 Ksps
28500 Ksps Vertical TP-4 11570 MHz 27500 Ksps
28500 Ksps Vertical 11. Now all the 64 TV channels of “DD Free Dish DTH” and 24 radio services will be available.
12. Viewers/Subscribers who do not rescan as detailed above shall continue to get only 10 channels on TP 5 for a period of 7 days from the date of migration. Symbol Rate for TP 5 will remain as 27500 Ksps for these 7 days.
